Pilates will not only build strength in larger muscle groups, but it also strengthens the smaller stabilising muscles that help support our body and prevent us from injuries. Pilates has a strong emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, which is important for teaching us how to move safely and correctly to avoid injuries.
