If you’ve ever wanted to start improving your current eating habits but struggle with finding the time, you’ll want to keep reading ahead!

Eating a well-balanced diet doesn’t have to take over your life, but instead should complement your lifestyle. By finding strategies that work in your life, you can put your best foot forward to improve your nutrition.

One of the largest barriers to nutrition that our MWU community faces, is time. Our team of dietitians have developed brand new Busy Girl Meal Guides which are packed with meals and recipes that are filled with:

✓ Minimal Ingredients
✓ Quick cooking times
✓ Convenience ingredients
✓ Meal Prep friendly

So that you can find and browse these with ease in our MWU App, we have launched a brand new Meal Guide Library. This will allow you to easily scroll through multiple Meal Guide categories and if you find some you love, favourite to view these in a separate category on demand. You can find out more about the Meal Guide feature in our knowledge base here.

So now that we’ve got the Meal Guides sorted, how can you practically implement these into your daily life? Our MWU Dietitians have dropped their top Busy Girl tips to master your meal prep below.

1. Be Prepared

Each week set aside 30 minutes to prepare your meals for the week in your MWU App.

2. Keep a Shopping List

You can use the shopping list icon in the MWU App to view your Meal Guide ingredients for the week, along with the ability to add additional items to your shopping list.

3. Click & Collect your groceries

If your local supermarket has the option, you can save a lot of time by ordering your groceries online and then collecting them. Most grocery stores will not charge extra for this and you can often save money by ensuring you are only buying the necessary items on your shopping list!

4. Invest in reusable containers

Investing in a good set of reusable containers, such as ceramic or glass that will serve you well over the years to come.

5. Keep non-perishable items handy

Stocking your pantry with non-perishable items can help you quickly prepare meals when you’re short on time, or running late for work, and need to pack a lunch. These include:

  • Microwave Rice Cups
  • Tinned Tuna or Salmon
  • Canned Beans (Chickpeas, Edamame, Black Beans, Lentils etc)
  • 2-Minute Noodles

Now it's up to you! It's time to put these tips into practise.

Whether you're participating in our upcoming BBS Challenge, or following another MWU Program, you will have access to our Meal Guide Library, including our Busy Girl Meal Guides dedicated to those who are short on time and looking for easy-and-convenient meals.
